Frequently Asked Questions
Are ceremonies available all year round? What about your students?
Yes - we offer ceremonies throughout the year but only during College holidays. This ensures that your day is uninterrupted. Please ask the team about dates that are available.
Will there be any other weddings on the same day?
We cannot guarantee that there will not be any other ceremonies but we always ensure there is plenty of time between each event.
Can we use candles?
We do not allow the use of real candles but are very happy for couples to use our battery-operated wax candles at no extra charge.
Can we use confetti?
Yes - we are happy for you to use confetti but request that is is fully bio-degradable.
Can we decorate the room?
Yes - there are restrictions on anything that might leave a permanent mark, but flowers, balloons etc are all acceptable.
Can I provide my own music?
Yes - music can be played as guests arrive, depart and during appropriate parts of the ceremony. We have systems from which an iPod can be played in all of our rooms and a grand piano is also available in Big School (please note we are unable to provide a pianist). Music should be provided a couple of days before your ceremony to enable us to check its compatibility with our systems. Please note, by law, music with a religious context cannot be used during civil ceremonies.
How much do we have to pay upon booking our ceremony?
We ask for full payment up front for ceremonies. A 30% deposit is payable for wedding receptions, based on your estimated guest numbers. Please also see Civil Ceremony prices.
Do you allow rehearsals?
We do not make provision for rehearsals just as you would expect from a ceremony in registry office. If you are unsure about the running order of the ceremony we are more than happy to talk you through this.
