Spring is a beautiful time of year to tie the knot, with flowers beginning to bloom and days getting longer. The weather may be a little unpredictable, with the notorious April showers, but the season is full of beauty, rebirth and renewal, making it a poignant time to start life as a married couple. We love spring weddings, so have put together a list of ideas for your special day.
Our last Spring wedding was with the lovely Mr & Mrs Boon who decorated Memorial Library with yellow and white tulips. The beautiful bold colours were perfect for spring, as tulips are in season making them easy to get a hold of.
According to Brides Magazine, sheer capelets are in trend for 2019 - the a perfect way to stay warm in the cool breeze whilst still showcasing your wedding dress.
A trend that seems to be staying strong again this year, the gorgeous flower crown - which were showcased by The Great British Florist at our Wedding Open Day. They’re perfect for brides who don’t want to go for a traditional veil.
If you want to cover up a little more but want to break traditions one of our lovely brides, Polly opted for a chiffon cape that she had draped over her shoulders to keep her warmer for photographs on St George’s Terrace.
When we think of spring, we think of blossom. Why not decorate your cake with sugar blossoms? An elegant and simple design that will be appreciated this time of year. With pollen levels creeping up, it may be a good idea to pack a few hayfever essentials, like tissues and relief remedies! The weather could be fairly unpredictable this time of year too, with potential April showers, be sure to pack umbrellas for you and your bridal party!
