Summer Wedding Trends

  1. Bunting

Don’t forget about outdoor decoration! During the summer, your guests will likely want to take advantage of the lighter evenings, enjoying time outside. By decorating with a little bunting you can add a real ambience to an area. Whether it’s dainty, bold or personalised, there are lots of options to fit your wedding décor.

  1. Flower Crowns

Another summer trend that’s perfect for quirky brides... flower crowns! This alternative accessory to a tiara is perfect for the summer – especially if you’re not wanting to wear a veil. The bright splashes of colour from summer flowers in your hair can really make a statement. Or maybe just a sprinkle of gypsophila to add a little romance to a loose curl. Take a look at The Fabulous Florist for some inspo.

  1. Ice Cream Van Hire

Who doesn’t like ice cream?! Make your ice cream both delicious and decorative by going vintage with Benito’s ice cream cart hire. The perfect way to cool down on a hot summer day.

  1. Gin Bar Hire

Treat your guests to refreshing cocktails in the sun with a gin bar like Oscars!  A unique twist for your outdoor space as well as a perfect photo-op.

  1. Naked Cakes

The naked cake is less heavy than traditional thick white icing, making it perfect for a hot day.  Keep it light and refreshing with fresh fruit and a thin layer of cream within each layer!

  1. Live Entertainment

Live music outdoors is perfect for making the most out of the sunny weather, which is just what Mary and Chris did for their special day. They were joined by the Malvern Male Voice Choir on the Gryphon Room terrace area before their wedding breakfast.

  1. Jam Jar Decorations

A minimalist decoration that’s cost effective: floral jam jars! A dainty centrepiece idea or maybe as decoration for your ceremony room? Our lovely bride Jennie used an array of wild flowers in small jam jars as a way of decorating our intimate ceremony venue, The Memorial Library.

  1. Outdoor Games

If you have children attending your wedding, why not use outdoor space for games? One of our brides, Nicola, used the Gryphon Room terrace area to set up outdoor games which meant children were entertained for hours… fun for adults too!
