Frequently Asked Questions
Do you provide catering?
Yes - We have our own caterers that can provide a flexible approach to whatever style of catering you require and a tasting is included as part of your booking. Unfortunately you will not be able to provide your own catering, however, we are sure you will find our menu cater for all of your guests.
Do you cater for special dietary requirements?
Yes - we can cater for most dietary needs provided advance notice is given. It is best to discuss these as early as possible with the events team.
Can we supply our own wine?
Yes - we are happy for you to do this and we offer a charged corkage service. Alternatively we also have an excellent well-priced wine list for you to choose from.
Can you cater for children?
Yes - we are happy to provide a separate menu for children under the age of 12.
Can you cater for Asian weddings?
We are unable to allow any outside catering and this often discourages the use of our venue for Asian weddings.
Can we decorate the room?
Yes - there are restrictions on anything that might leave a permanent mark, but flowers, balloons etc are all acceptable.
Can we use candles?
We do not allow use of real candles but are very happy for couples to use our battery-operated wax candles at no extra charge.
Can we decorate the napkins?
Yes - provided we know in advance, napkins can be collected a couple of days before and returned to us before the event.
Do you have an easel to display our table plan?
Yes - we have two wooden easels for your use.
Can we have fireworks?
No - we do not allow fireworks as these are disruptive to local residents.
Can we have Chinese lanterns?
No - we do not allow Chinese lanterns to be launched as the debris impacts on our neighbours.
Is there any accommodation close by to Malvern College?

What time can our event go on until?
We are fully licensed for the sale of alcohol and entertainment until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes - Malvern Weddings is a dog friendly wedding venue. If you wish to bring your dog to the ceremony, we do ask that they are kept on a lead at all times. Dogs will be allowed around the grounds and in the ceremony venue. The reception is the only area where dogs are not permitted.
We would like our wedding ceremony at Malvern College but our reception elsewhere, who would you recommend?
When do you need to know our final guest numbers and any dietaries?
We require your final numbers and details of those guests who have dietary requirements at least 10 days before your wedding. We do ask you to discuss any particular diets with us to ensure we can cater for them.
When do you need payment by?
Your Ceremony Room Hire / Wedding Deposit is payable on confirmation of booking. The Gryphon Room hire fee is payable 3 months prior to your wedding date and then catering and drink costs at least 6 weeks prior to your wedding date and these are based on your guest numbers.
